Pack your sense of humour for these Soft Impact activities that emphasize
fun and participation encouraging social interaction while giving
guests something to achieve or compete for - but not to seriously.
If it's something different you're after them this is for you. We can design
any type of day to suit your needs. All activities have a "fun"
factor and will delight your group - even if they are serious competitors.
Farm Tour
A farm orientation tour includes a full commentary about the property
and it's inhabitants. You'll learn about the fascinating history of
the area while spotting grazing Elk and rare White Fallow Deer - closer
than most people will ever come to elk.
Sheep Dog Trials
There is no animal smarter than the New Zealand Sheep Dog at work.
Watch as our farmer masterfully guides the sheep into the pen by
controlling every move of the dogs.
Nothing short of hilarious best describes this activity. A few "volunteers"
are carefully chosen to try their hand, literally, at rounding up
the sheep. See if the teamwork and delegation of duties works for
the lucky contestants.
Horse Shoe Pitching
A great team game and test for your eye/hand co-ordination! The rules
are simple - just hook the stake. Easier said than done for most people.
Gold Panning
Try your luck at striking gold - in the horse trough!
Split into teams for the petanque Olympics - great team building and
lots of fun!
Gumboot Throwing
In true Southern style(Otago/Southland that is) groups can "have
a go" to see who is the best candidate for being a farmer.
Orienteering
Down on the flats by the river groups can make their way through trees
that all look alike. Using a compass and map teams navigate the riverbeds
and bush to find the way home or the way out!
A programme can be formed from the above activities or combinations
of activities. We would also be happy to create some new and exciting
adventures specifically for your requirements.
